DRAWING ARCHITECTURE RESEARCH

Snežana Zlatković (born in Belgrade, 1988) holds a Master’s degree (2012) and a Doctorate (Drawing as a Methodological Tool for Reading the Cityscape, 2023) from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture. She was awarded the "Sestre Bulajić" Foundation Prize for the best graduate project at the Faculty of Architecture in 2012, under the mentorship of Professor Dejan Miljković.
Since 2010, she has gained professional experience in several architectural offices, most notably at Energoprojekt (2014–2017) and LFG Studio (2017–2018), where she participated in both national and international projects—from architectural competitions to construction processes.
Since 2018, she has been employed as a teaching assistant at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture, where she teaches at undergraduate, integrated, and master’s academic levels. She has presented her scientific research at numerous national and international conferences and has been published in several journals, as well as in the Drawing Futures book (The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, 2016).
In 2017, she founded her own studio, sz.dar (Drawing Architecture Research), focused on exploring drawing as a methodological tool in both scientific and architectural-artistic work. Her drawings have been exhibited and recognized internationally — in the USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, the UK, Italy, South Korea, Romania, Serbia, Spain, and more. Since 2018, she has been a member of the group of architects Modern in Belgrade (Iva Bekić, Irena Gajić, Dalia Dukanac, Stefan Đorđević, Snežana Zlatković, Mirjana Ješić, Hristina Meseldžija, Petar Cigić). This group established a platform aimed at promoting and critically analyzing Belgrade’s architectural heritage through innovative graphic representationsand models. They presented them through five solo exhibitions in 2019. The Modern in Belgrade represented Serbia at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021 and published 8th Kilometer: Pavilion of Serbia at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia. Since 2023, she has been collaborating with the APSS Institute (founded by Dijana Vučinić), a platform dedicated to architectural discourse focused on post-war cities in Yugoslavia and transitional urban conditions in coastal Montenegro. As part of the APSS Institute team (Dijana Vučinić, Ana Dobrašinović, Snežana Zlatković, Luka Bošković, Milica Kavedžić, Slavica Danilović, Nikolina Đukanović, Srđan Tomović), she participated in the exhibition At the Beach (2024), presented within the German Pavilion at the Mies van der Rohe Foundation in Barcelona. They collaborated for the first time at the workshop KotorAPSS 2017: Temporary, organized by the APSS Institute and received recognition:
